Per far fronte alle crescenti pressioni a cui il sistema socio-sanitario è sottoposto e rispondere a esigenze di miglioramento delle performance aziendali, spesso le RSA hanno fatto ricorso a scelte di esternalizzazione. Lo studio presenta e discute i risultati di un’indagine esplorativa realizzata attraverso una survey indirizzata a tutti i direttori generali e gestionali delle RSA lombarde. In particolare, approfondisce i fenomeni di esternalizzazione e reinternalizzazione nelle RSA pubbliche, private for profit e private non profit. Dall’indagine risulta che l’esternalizzazione è un fenomeno diffuso e variegato, potenzialmente in grado di apportare numerosi benefici, ma complesso da valutare e da gestire, nonché non definitivo.
To face the increasing pressures and improve firm performance, the nursing home industry fre- quently relied on outsourcing strategies. This study is an exploratory empirical research carried out through a survey sent to all the directors of nursing homes in Lombardy. The paper investigates outsourcing and backsourcing processes in public, for profit and non-for profit nursing homes. Results highlight that outsourcing is a widespread and complex phenomenon. It offers numerous potential benefits, but it also presents several managerial challenges. Furthermore, findings point out that outsourcing decisions are not permanent.
Afin de faire face aux pressions croissantes auxquelles est soumis le système médico-social et d’améliorer les performances des entreprises, les EHPAD ont souvent recours à l’externalisation. Cette étude a comme objectif de présenter et d’examiner les résultats d’une enquête qui a été réalisée au travers d’un sondage adressé à tous les directeurs des EHPAD de la région Lombar- die, en s’intéressant particulièrement aux phénomènes d’externalisation et de réinternalisation dans les EHPAD publics, privés lucratifs et privés associatifs. Les résultats de la présente enquête montrent que l’externalisation est à la fois un phénomène étendu et varié, en mesure d’apporter des nombreux bénéfices, complexe à évaluer et à gérer, ainsi que non définitif.
